Production Kitchen Manager * £28,000 * North London

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join this young but rapidly growing and highly successful food manufacturing business with a fantastic and innovative product range

We need to find a hard-working Production Kitchen Manager for this, extremely busy food manufacturing business with a great reputation and commitment to ensure order fulfilment – on time – every time!

THE PRODUCTION KITCHEN MANAGER will report directly to the Production Manager and involves leading a team to complete daily and weekly production cycles. The role has scope for professional development across the plant-based and food manufacturing industry.

This is a key appointment in the development of the business and you will be instrumental in ensuring that future growth plans are not only met but exceeded.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all checklists, cleaning documents and HACCP forms are available in the kitchen and are completed
  • Sign off on all HACCP forms and checklists
  • File all documentation ready for inspection
  • Support the Production Manager with any other necessary admin
  • Delegate and participate in daily kitchen production, and monitor efficiencies to ensure processes are completed within designated time available
  • Provide training to the team so that they are equipped to cover all production tasks
  • Monitor production processes to ensure products are made to the correct specification and meet quality standards
  • Ensure kitchen staff are following company policies and procedures (ensuring you too are aware of them all)
  • Manage rotation of lunch breaks
  • Report any injuries, incidents or damaged equipment in the kitchen, following company procedure
  • Monitor hygiene standards in the kitchen and report any failings

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will need a strong background in Kitchen Management from within the food industry

  • Experience of working in a BRC environment.
  • HACCP Level 2
  • High-risk and low risk experience would be an advantage
  • Good Analytical skills
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Extensive experience of leading a team within a manufacturing environment.
