A leading food manufacturing business with a wide range of successful products sold throughout the UK to a range of food retailer clients produced in a factory incorporating high speed, high volume production and packaging machinery
THE BI DEVELOPER
The BI Developer will be responsible for the development of our Oracle Reporting environment, working closely with our Business and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Build an understanding of our client’s business in order to identify and address critical issues by providing data that is accurate, reliable, and ensures that information is easily available to users.
- Provide technical support, responding to user questions and resolving problems.
- Under direction, work with our client to analyse business intelligence needs.
- Support the design of data models, reports and visualisations to meet business needs.
- Documentation of BI deliverables.
- Provide end user support and training.
- Maintain departmental operating procedures.
- Creatively and independently, provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner.
- Coding standards and review.
- Develops end-user reports and visualisations.
- Reviews test plans and monitors testing process to ensure that deliverables are tested.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record within a manufacturing/factory environment ideally in a similar Business Intelligence Developer role. We are looking for the following key skills / experience:
- Experience of designing and developing reports and visualisations using the Oracle products set – essential
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Data profiling and Data analytics
- Understanding of data warehousing life cycle and data modelling and design
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2008R2 or above
- Microsoft PowerBI and Dax
- Microsoft Excel 2010 or above
- Microsoft SQL Server Analysis and integration Services 2008R2 or above
- Experience of Business Intelligence software (e.g. SAS, Tableau)
